What a Difference Good Lighting Can Make!
Here are comparisons from a renovation project done in 2009 & 2010.
The differences are always in the light – be it natural daylighting, fixture type or placement, or reflective surfaces (and sometimes a combination of these, or even all of the above).
Before images are left/first, After completion images are right/second.
This project was updated again more recently and additional images are in the West B Timberframe gallery.
The kitchen, by example, began with 3 odd windows, 1 pendant, and 1 sconce.
After, we unified the south facing glass, installed 14 low voltage LED spots (a few face up for ambient light, most face down for task lighting) on a dual-circuit rail system and 2 pendants. All lights are on dimmers and can be used for 6 distinct looks, with a full variety of light levels.
Big improvements all around!
